As a professionally trained coach and member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), I am committed to ethical, transparent, and human-centred coaching. I also recognise that artificial intelligence (AI) is now part of many everyday tools that support communication, organisation, and accessibility, especially for neurodivergent professionals like myself. This page explains how I use AI tools in my business and coaching practice, in line with the ICF Code of Ethics and the ICF AI Coaching Standards and Practical Guide (2025).
How I Use AI Tools
I use AI tools in limited and carefully considered ways, always with the intention of improving clarity, accessibility, and efficiency. These tools do not replace or interfere with the coaching relationship itself.
I may use AI to:
✔ Refine and structure written communication such as emails, blog posts, coaching resources, and social media posts (particularly helpful as someone with dyslexia and dyscalculia)
✔ Generate ideas for helpful resources or coaching handouts
✔ Support transcription or note summarisation using tools like Fathom AI (only with your consent)
✔ Help organise and streamline administrative tasks
All coaching content, decisions, and reflections are created by me. AI simply supports the background functions of my business.
Data Privacy and Confidentiality
Your privacy is very important to me. I follow GDPR requirements and the ethical responsibilities outlined in the ICF Code of Ethics. I do not input identifiable or sensitive client information into AI platforms such as ChatGPT. When I use AI tools, any content is anonymised or fictionalised. If I use a session summary notes tool such as Fathom, I will always ask for your informed consent first. I review my use of AI regularly to ensure it remains appropriate, ethical, and under my full control.
Alignment with the ICF Code of Ethics
My use of AI aligns with the ICF Code of Ethics.
ICF AI Coaching Standards (2025)
I also follow the ICF’s AI Coaching Framework and Practical Guide. This document outlines how coaches can integrate AI responsibly. My approach reflects the ICF’s recommended standards:
✔ AI supports coaching but never replaces the human relationship
✔ Clients are informed about how AI may be involved
✔ Client data is protected and never used for profiling or analysis
✔ AI use is reviewed regularly to ensure it stays ethical and appropriate
Your Choice Always Comes First
If you would prefer not to have any part of your coaching process supported by AI tools, even for admin or background content creation, I will fully respect that. You are welcome to ask questions at any time or request a completely non-AI-supported process.
Final Thoughts
AI can be a helpful support for writing, planning, and content organisation, particularly for neurodivergent business owners. However, it never replaces human intuition, connection, or the integrity of the coaching relationship. I remain fully responsible for the quality, professionalism, and ethical standards of all the work we do together. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please feel free to get in touch.
