Planning trips a lot of us up, not for lack of effort, but because the usual advice does not fit how we think. Three gentler ways:
1. Plan backwards from the end
Start with what “done” looks like, then work back to the first small step. That is easier than facing a blank page.
2. Keep one place for everything
One list, one calendar, one spot for important things. Scattered systems are what trip us up, not a lack of effort.
3. Allow more time than feels sensible
ADHD brains tend to underestimate how long things take. A buffer keeps you calmer when life gets in the way.
Try one this week.
This is the sort of thing we work on together in coaching, at your pace, on Zoom. If you would like to explore it, the first step is a discovery session.
