How to Make Sure You Receive My Emails

To make sure your booking confirmations, Zoom links, and coaching content always reach your inbox, please add my email addresses as safe senders:

linda@theadultadhdcoach.com
newsletter@theadultadhdcoach.com

This stops your email provider from sending my messages to spam or junk. Pick your email provider below and follow the quick steps – it only takes a minute.

Instructions by Email Provider

Gmail (Desktop – Most Reliable Method)

Gmail does not have a traditional “safe sender” list. The most reliable way is to create a filter:

  1. Open Gmail on your computer and click the Settings icon (top right).
  2. Click “See all settings”.
  3. Go to the “Filters and Blocked Addresses” tab.
  4. Click “Create a new filter”.
  5. In the “From” field, type: linda@theadultadhdcoach.com
  6. Click “Create filter”.
  7. Tick “Never send it to Spam”, then click “Create filter” again to save.
  8. Repeat steps 4–7 for: newsletter@theadultadhdcoach.com

That is it. Emails from both addresses will now go straight to your inbox.

Gmail (Phone App – Quick Method)

You cannot create filters on the Gmail app, but you can train Gmail to trust me:

  1. Open the Gmail app and go to your Spam folder.
  2. Find any email from me and open it.
  3. Tap “Report not spam” (or tap the three dots … and choose “Move to Inbox”).
  4. Also open the email and tap the sender name, then tap “Add to Contacts”.

This teaches Gmail that my emails are wanted. For the most reliable results, use the desktop filter method above when you can.

Outlook / Hotmail / Live (Web & Desktop)

Hotmail and Live accounts now use the Outlook interface, so these steps work for all three.

  1. Click the Settings icon (top right).
  2. Go to Mail → Junk email.
  3. Under “Safe senders and domains”, click “Add”.
  4. Type: linda@theadultadhdcoach.com
  5. Press Enter, then click “Add” again and type: newsletter@theadultadhdcoach.com
  6. Click “Save”.

All emails from me will now bypass your junk folder.

Outlook / Hotmail / Live (Phone App)

  1. If an email from me is in your Junk folder, long-press on it.
  2. Tap the three dots, then choose “Move to Inbox” or “Mark as Not Junk”.

Apple Mail (Mac)

  1. Open any email from me.
  2. Hover over the sender’s name and click the dropdown arrow.
  3. Choose “Add to Contacts”.

Tip: You can also add me as a VIP – Apple Mail prioritises VIP emails and sends them straight to your inbox.

Apple Mail (iPhone / iPad)

  1. Open any email from me.
  2. Tap the sender’s name at the top.
  3. Tap “Add to VIPs” or “Add to Contacts”.

If one of my emails is in your Junk folder, swipe left on it, tap More, then choose “Mark as Not Junk”.

Yahoo Mail / AOL Mail

AOL is now part of Yahoo, so these steps work for both.

  1. Click Settings (top right) → “More Settings”.
  2. Click “Filters” in the left menu.
  3. Click “Add new filters”.
  4. Give it a name (e.g. “ADHD Coach”) and set the “From” field to: linda@theadultadhdcoach.com
  5. Set the action to “Move to Inbox” and save.
  6. Repeat steps 3–5 for: newsletter@theadultadhdcoach.com

You can also open any email from me, click the three dots …, and choose “Add Sender to Contacts”.

ProtonMail

  1. Go to Settings → Filters → Spam, block, and allow lists.
  2. Under the “Allow list” section, click “Add”.
  3. Enter: linda@theadultadhdcoach.com
  4. Click “Add” again and enter: newsletter@theadultadhdcoach.com
  5. Save.

This adds me to Proton’s approved list, bypassing spam detection entirely.

Other Email Providers

If you use a different email service, these general tips work for most providers:

  • Add me to your Contacts – most email providers trust addresses in your contact list.
  • Check your Spam/Junk folder – if you find our email there, mark it as “Not Spam” or “Not Junk”. This trains your provider to deliver future emails to your inbox.
  • Search for “safe sender” in your email settings – most providers have this option somewhere.
